As the 2018 Open is approaching read what some of our members thought of last year:
Paula Kerr has been competing in the CrossFit Open 2017.
Paula describes herself as always have enjoyed doing sport. She has tried many different fitness programs in the past. Paula has battled with breast cancer some years ago and in her recovering process she started CrossFit. Since then she gained back her confidence and love for fitness. She has been making so much progress that this year she entered herself in the CrossFit Open 2017 competition to discover how she would do against the world. Here is her experience:
"I enteref the Open because I wanted to test my ability across a range of disciplines and measure my effort against others in a similar age group. The competition element meant I pushed out extra reps I didn't know I had and hit PB's. I finished in the top three group in the world as the oldest in my category - 45-49 masters women - and was really happy with that. Bring on next year!"
Well done Paula! All ChalkBox members are super proud of you and you are a leading example for the Box.
